I originally made this design for a friend who had become ambassador for a Dementia Awareness campaign. They had a stylised(modern looking) angel as their logo and I couldnt find a pattern that fitted my vision. So I made one!
I thought they would be a great little fundraiser, as they are quick to make(good stashbuster too) and you can easily adapt the colour to suit the cause.
It’s the first pattern I have gone back after making and written down, I have tried to troubleshoot the instructions to make them clear and easy to follow, but welcome constructive criticsm!
Happy Hooking!

This pattern is worked in a continuous round, I use a piece of yarn to mark the start of each round. When you start to make the increases under the wings you need to go past the end of the row by one stitch at the end of the increase rows otherwise there will be a twist. (While it’s just a cone, the twist doesn’t matter) Around round 5 or six you will want to turn the cone inside out so you’re working on the outside of the ring .
