The beautiful hand-dyed mauve colour was the inspiration for this shawl. It can be worn as a shawl or as a light lap cover. Two skeins of mauve are used. The first skein starts the facing of the shawl, bottom border and then completes the right side of the shawl. The left side of the shawl is completed with the second skein. You know its time to complete the top border when you run out of the first mauve skein. Effectively uses all of your yarn. The lace pattern is easily created in the centre of the shawl and worked together with the borders.
