Alpine Blossom Shawl

A crescent shawl knit with two strands of yarns held together, mohair and fingering weight to create a cozy shawl for those colder days, but also versatile enough to be knit with a sport or fingering yarn for warmer seasons.

I wanted to design it to be large enough to drape over your shoulders or to wrap up as a cozy neck scarf. This shawl uses simple lace techniques with basic repeats and binds off with a delicate picot edge. A great project for a beginner ready to try their first shawl, and intermediate knitters looking to step up their skills, or of course for expert knitters who want a simple project to wind down with.

Knit with US 5 (3.75mm) needles and using fingering weight yarn held double with lace weight mohair, or with sport weight yarn. Approximately 778 meters or 850 yards.
