This is a PDF pattern that will guide you through making an amigurumi striped egg like the ones pictured. You’ll learn to make a magic ring in the process, and how to create the stripes. The pattern includes advice on resizing the product.

These eggs make a great project for a beginner. The pattern is suitable for beginners, as well as more advanced crocheters. It assumes you know how to chain and single crochet already (as well as increasing and decreasing).

The pattern uses American crochet notation, but includes brief advice on the conversion to UK notation. It also includes advice on selecting colours and using different yarns.

You’ll require two different coloured yarns, a crochet hook of an appropriate size for the yarn you choose and optionally a tapestry needle for weaving in ends and ribbons, sequins, beads etc for decoration (although this is not necessary).
