This is a collection of ancient Mexican designs from ruins, etc. Included are five horizontal borders, one vertical border, and depictions of a fish, butterfly, frog, crocodile, bird, and house. These can be knitted into your project or added as duplicate stitching after your project is finished.

These intriguing designs are made to be used together or separately on any type of knitting - along the edges of a cardigan as the center of a bag - or around a hat as shown in my “Mariposa Hat” pictured. Mariposa is Spanish for butterfly and the chart for this butterfly and the vertical border on the hat are included in this set (the hat pattern itself is not included - that is available separately as a Ravelry download through KnittingKnoodle).

The designs are various sizes and are charted to be in the correct proportions when knitted. They are sized from 19 to 64 stitches wide and from 9 to 42 stitches tall. The borders are suitable for repeating, if desired and pictures may be lined up side by side.

I am available for knitting help if you haven’t worked from charts before. These charts are for two colors, and are easy to read.
