Angel In My Tiny Pocket is the smaller version of Angel In My Pocket, and features the same construction and design details.

“Maybe it’s like sadness or grief- nowhere to put it but in my pocket, warm, until it flies again.” -Debi Martin

Our precious little ones cannot always be close enough for a hug or a squeeze of the hand when they are feeling scared or lonely. How comforting for them to know there is a secret angel or heart in their pocket, to remind them that they are loved. Or perhaps your little one experienced a loss or deep sadness, and needs a reminder that her loved one is still present in her heart.

It is knit top-down, in the round, in one piece. Short rows are used to shape the neck, and then raglan shaping is used to create the sweater. Finally, a small angel, heart, butterfly, lightning strike (or choose your own superhero motif from an easy Google search- not included in the pattern due to copyright concerns) is duplicate-stitched, and then hidden behind a small pocket. Slipped stitches are worked under the arm on the body and sleeves for added details.
