Bridge Road is my favorite place in Florida. It’s shaded from the hot sun by a canopy of banyan trees, and it has a low draw bridge that crosses over the Intracoastal Waterway. It makes for a lovely walk that ends right at a small public beach on Jupiter Island.

Mo’ Slub Knit Club is a beautiful triangular shawl designed using Emma’s Yarn Mo’ Slub bundle in Mine Ya Business. It’s a very simple, meditative knit, entirely in Garter stitch and alternating Slubby Slub and Marvelous Mohair. Don’t like slub? You can use any fingering weight yarn instead!

Olives starts with casting on for the lower hem. The body is worked seamlessly in the round to the underarms, where it is split into front and back sections to be worked back and forth. Short rows are used to create shaping at the shoulders and neck and then the shoulders are connected front to back with a three-needle bind-off.

Sometimes all it takes are simple knit and purl stitches to create a complicated-looking design. This faux lattice patterning is timeless and refined, best complemented by a solid or tonal skein, and elevated with a beautiful tweed.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The Lattice Socks feature an allover lattice design on the leg which, after a classic heel flap and turn, flows into simple stockinette for the most comfortable fit around the foot. Once you get into the gusset, it’s a great project for social knitting or for those times you just need to be a Stockinette Zombie and let your fingers do the think...

The Little Boxes Beanie is a fitted hat with stunning crown decreases that incorporate the stripes all the way to the very top. Utilizing two distinct patterns of little boxes and vertical stripes, the overall effect is that of intricacy and detail, while the actual knitting is soothing and rhythmic. The hat looks best when worn with very littl...
Knitting: Cozy - Other
These Little Boxes Coozies are fabulously fun to knit! With a similar circumference and gauge to the Little Boxes Socks, and a great match for the Little Boxes Beanie, the coozies make a great alternative to a boring square swatch. Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The Little Boxes Socks integrate two simple Fair Isle patterns, using 1x1 stripes on the heel and sole, and little boxes for the leg and instep. The heel maintains the striping through a few diversions from the standard heel flap and turn, and the result is incredible. Check out the matching Little Boxes Beanie and Coozie.

Consisting of knits and purls, the staggered single and double ribbing rhythmically alternate throughout this pattern. Check out the matching Tiny Bobbles Legwarmers.
Knitting: Legwarmers
Short legwarmers adorned with bobbles are a fun sock-knitting alternative. Pair them with shortie socks in the winter to keep your ankles warm, or wear them as a warm layer on the way to the gym. The Tiny Bobbles Legwarmers mirror each other with their bobbles organized on a background of reverse stockinette bordered by twisted ribbing.

Twisted Socks are knit with fingering weight held double (one strand of DK will work, too, but be sure to check your gauge!). Knit them a size larger than usual for a looser house sock (let’s face it, many of us don’t have to wear shoes during the day anymore), or cast on your usual size to wear out and about. They’re the perfect thickness to p...

Following a long month of knitting fingering weight hats and a laceweight cardigan, I yearned for the feel of larger needles and heavier yarn in my hands.
