This shawl idea was born because I wanted a stripe shawl in a fingering weight. But not a regular stripe shawl. I wanted something where the stripes zig-zagged slightly. Not overwhelming so, just a slight meandering of the stripe color.

Knitted on US size 4 needles, this shawl is 26 inches deep and 48 inches wide (after wetblocking). I used all but about 10 yards of my the green Malabrigo sock yarn (its 440 yarn skein). There is a note in the pattern to show you how to stop sooner if you are running up short on yarn.

This is a bottom-up shawl. You’ll start with just a few stitches and increase your way to the top.

This shawl uses short row turns to achieve the zig zag pattern.

The purchase of this pattern entitles you to make as many of this shawl for personal use as you’d like. Reproduction of the pattern for the purposes of distribution is prohibited; as is selling your finished shawls. Making them for donation or charity is fabulous and you have my permission to do so.
