Arctic Land is the third of the three Arctic Aura haps that I designed in 2015. It presents the largest variety of patterns out of all the three haps in the set. This piece is all white like a snowy, sparkling northern land where only water and air can bring other colours to meet the land.

Other haps in the Arctic Aura set are Arctic Water and Arctic Air.

CONSTRUCTION
Built from inside to the outside, this hap has its centre square knitted diagonally back and forth in a mixture of garter and stocking stitch, and with Cat’s Paw lace motifs. Based on that is the border with my version of traditional Shetland diamonds made in the round and finished with the edging with waves, nupps and short spikes formed perpendicular to the border.
This hap requires blocking.
