Ardrum was designed and knit as I wanted to give a dear friend a really nice birthday present, as she generally spoil me on mine!

It is a lace scarf/wrap pattern knitted in one piece with edging knit at the same time as the body of the scarf/wrap. Which leaves for very little casting on and no casting off if you opt to graft the two ends of the edging together at the end.

I used a cobweb yarn, but really any suitable yarn can be used depending on your stash and preferences and the scarf is easily amended to be longer, shorter, wider or thinner. It would also make a very pretty wrap.

The scarf in the photo’s weighed 44g and took 660m of yarn. It measures 16” x 56” approx.
