This long, triangular shawl is shaped by inserting stockinette stitch stripes into the body of the shawl. The shape of the shawl is a right triangle - start knitting at the point and keep going until you finish the chart. The i-cord edge is knit along with the body of the shawl, so there is no picking up or seaming at the end.

There is only one size to this shawl - 76” long x 25” wide; however, the size can be adjusted by changing yarn or needle size.

The gauge is not overly important. When designing, I wanted the fabric to be somewhat open, hence the choice of a US10/6mm needle.

The original version of the shawl was knit in Hazel Knits Lively DK (90% Merino, 10% Nylon; 275 yards). I used approximately 1.75 skeins. Any DK weight or light worsted weight yarn should work well with this pattern; you will need between 440 & 550 yards.

Note - there are two downloads with this pattern when purchasing off of Ravelry. The first is the pattern itself. The second is the chart. The chart is rather large and can be cumbersome; you may want to print it off page by page (there are 4 pages total).

If you have purchased a version of the printed pattern prior to Dec 15, 2015, the printed link for the chart does not work. Please use this link.

Happy Knitting!
