This is a bag written for 3 sizes, that can be used as a purse when lined (lining instructions not included), a market bag or a tote bag. It’s crocheted from the bottom up, the base worked in rows and the body of the bag worked in rounds and turned after each round is completed. Worked in Red Heart Super Saver, this bag is not only cheap to make, but very durable and of course machine washable!

My testers pointed out the many great uses for this bag: from a reusable gift bag, to matching mommy / daughter bags, to a bag filled with items for a new mom.

There are also directions for two handles, short or long.

Measurements (does not include handle length):

  • Small 9.5” across by 8” high by 1.3” deep
  • Medium 12” across by 10” high by 1.5” deep
  • Large 14.5” across by 13” high by 1.7” deep

Materials: Red Heart Super Saver, amounts shown below plus 50-100 grams for the handles, size G (4.00 mm) crochet hook

  • Small: 130 grams
  • Medium: 165 grams
  • Large: 250 grams
