Au ♥ Moku Nui is Hawaiian for I ♥ Big Island (which is my home). Not all of Hawaii is sandy beaches. Whether I’m standing on Mauna Kea, visiting Volcano National Park, or just having my morning coffee on the lanai, staying warm is a must!

Besides yarn, you will need two stitch markers, dpn’s or circular needle (US5/3.75mm), and a yarn needle.

When working on a stranded knitting project like this, remember to catch your nonworking yarn every few stitches (3 or 4) so you don’t have big loops in the back. Also, don’t catch them one stitch over another, stagger them. You will be most pleased with your finished hat by following this process.
