Autumn on Lake George
Recently, I took my girls, all the cousins and a load of girlfriends and dropped them off at the Great Escape for a day of thrills and chills. (Apparently, they really enjoyed scaring each other silly… :))
While they were busy enjoying the rides and midway games, I went and sat on a bright green Adirondack chair on the shore of Lake George. The entire view, in all its autumn glory, was just spread out in front of me. It was truly an amazing sight. I spent the next four hours just knitting at the lake. Since then, every time I picked up this shawl to work on it, I’ve grabbed those moments of peace again and held them close. THIS is what I think our craft should be; holding those moments close and having a little something for yourself that you can use while still feeling pampered.
I hope you enjoy knitting this as much as I did, and keep those moments of peace close to you – they can be scarce. <3
