This pattern is beginner’s level. Perfect for your first crochet garment! But for experienced crocheters, this poncho is super quick to make and easy to memorize! You can make it solid, follow my stripe pattern, or stripe it however you please! I’d love to see how all of you make your ponchos, so please share pictures. :)

I used Loops & Threads Impeccable Solids heavy worsted weight yarn for this poncho. The great thing about this design is that because it uses such a big crochet hook, inexpensive acrylic yarn does great! Feel free to use luxurious Malabrigo or any other high-quality yarn, but keep in mind that acrylic holds up well with this project as well.
