This poncho will exercise all your knitting muscles: stranded colorwork, knitting in the round, increases along a “seam”, cabling in the lower half.

And what a fabulous, perfect weight knit up in fingering yarn.

The sample shown was knit using Knit Pick’s Palette in Bittersweet Heather (mc = 800 yards), Shoal, Seafaring, Opal Heather, Sagebrush, Lichen, Douglas Fir, Wheat Heather, Thicket, and Coriander Heather (CC1 thru CC9 = 100 yards each).

Directions are both written and charted for this one size fits many poncho that measures approx 36 inches around the top of the shoulders, 22 inches from base of neck to hem, 70 inches around the hem, and finishing with a turtleneck that measures 15 inches around and 3 inches high.

Circular needles are used to work this design completely in the round.
