This is an easy crocheted afghan ideal for a little boy. It is made in 3 strips going across which helps making color changes easier and least freq. Worked in single crochet thru-out, then double crochet for edging. Colored charts are included so easy to follow, no symbols.

Gauge is not important. This is a great size afghan

All charts are 45 sts by 45 rows- you will be putting 3 charts together to make a strip so 45 sts by 135 rows
.
4-ply worsted weight yarn used, I crochet hook, bobbins for changing colors, ( I like to cut long strips of the colors and not use bobbins, easier to untangle yarns that get twisted).

yarn used- 2- one pound skeins of Caron Yarn - background-Cream used; 5 0zs each of: lime green, orange, red, yellow, and black-
red Heart Super Saver used; 1 oz. or less of light brown for monkey in yellow car; 3-4 oz. of: light gray for elephant in orange car, train tracks, and base of yellow car; a few feet of light blue and pink for eyes, tan for faces in red caboose.

knowledge of changing colors in middle of row, chain, single crochet , double crochet and slip st a must.
