This cuff down sock pattern is designed for the person wanting to knit socks for the first time. But it is also a basic sock pattern for an experienced sock knitter. It takes you through the steps of sock knitting in a manner that you can knit a pair of socks by following the instructions.

The pattern includes links for the kitchener stitch and charts to be used for shoe to sock lengths.

Materials:
• Fingering Weight Yarn: Approximately 275 (315, 350, 400) yards
• (1) BOR Marker
• (1) A Marker
• (2) B Markers
• Darning needle

Needles Used:
• US2(2.75mm) circular or double point needles

Gauge:
• 2 inches in stockinette = 15 1/2 stitches, 22 rows

Techniques Used:
• Knit in the round, k2tog, p2tog, ssk, kitchener stitch
