The Bakersfield Shawlette is shallow and wide and perfect for the last chills of spring or the first chills of an air conditioned summer. It can be worn as a shawlette or a scarf, and the model blocked out to 84” long and 15” deep. Perfect for those smaller yardage skeins of precious sock yarn, the model is worked up in Colinette Jitterbug.

This shawlette is worked side-to-side with the knitted on edging worked as you go along. Easy to adjust for size or yardage, you can just work until half of your yarn is gone.

Instructions are provided in written and charted format.

Much thanks to Brennee for the sample knit on this design.

NOTE: In the increase and decrease sections you keep the lace in pattern while at the same time increasing or decreasing every 4th row.
