Knit in the round from the bottom up the body and sleeves are joined together to work a raglan yoke. The geometric cable pattern on this boy’s sweater is bold and masculine, creating a sweater that boys both young and old will be eager to wear. The crossed central cables are reminiscent of crossed swords on shields for your little medieval knight. In this sweater, the yarn is worked at a tighter gauge than normal which creates a more dramatic texture and makes the cables stand out from the purled background.

Chart on p.70, line 6 column 17, 18, 23, 24 should be knit instead of purl.
