♫ The Music ♫
The Ballyeamon Cradle Song is a traditional Irish lullaby. In part it says:
“The birdeens sing a fluting song,
They sing to thee the whole day long,
Wee fairies dance o’er hill and dale,
For very love of thee.“

Ballyeamon is a rectangular blanket that is perfect as a baby blanket or lap throw. Edged in Moss stitch, the stitch pattern creates beautiful scalloped top and bottom borders.

Unique decreases are used for the lace pattern bands to make it easier to work this stitch pattern in heavier yarn.

Two full sets of instructions are provided: one for knitters who like to use charts and one for knitters who prefer written directions.
