Following the success of the Barefoot Sandals, I have created another pattern for them. This one has 7 different designs. The first pattern is simple and understated. This one is bold and colourful!

You can add beads to your Barefoot Sandals for some sparkle. Remember that the beads always fall to the back of the stitch which will then be the front of the work. Each pattern has suggestions for where to add the beads.

As always, the thread I have used is DMC Petra. I love the way this thread feels - and the fact it is machine washable. It comes in 100g balls. You can also use DMC Perle which comes in 25m skeins or 45m/10g balls.

Materials: DMC Petra or Perle No.5. Most designs can be completed with 2 skeins or 1 ball of Perle but each design has the required amount included.

Equipment: 2.00mm hook, 1.50mm hook, Needle for sewing in ends

Tension: Not important but………
Using Perle No.5 and 2.00mm hook, 13 dc and 15 rows to 5cm square.

Finished size: The Barefoot Sandals are designed for average size adult feet. However, they are not designed to fit the foot perfectly but to sit in the middle of your instep. If you should need to, you can alter the size by adjusting the toe loop and ties. If you want them for a child, a smaller hook will reduce the motif size.
