Inspired by the yarn ‘Barking up a Tree’ from Lilliput Yarns I designed this shawlette. This hand-dyed yarn is a gift from overseas, Oregon, USA.

The shawlette is lightly round shaped with 3 sections of lace trees and 2 sections of cabled trees. It is like a haunted forest. You may also combine the lace and cable sections as you like to create your own individual shawlette.

25.Juli.2015: I used the long tail cast-on method.

Many thanks to Kelli Slack for her Love Mitts Kal. I participated in this Kal and won the wonderful Lilliput Yarn with the colour ‘Barking up a Tree’. And this is now the name of my pattern. My special thanks to Crystal from Lilliput Yarns for permission using this name.
