This hat pattern gives you several size and style options - a 2x2 folded over edge, a simple 1x1 rib edge, and a rolled edge (with rib), as well as ‘topping options’ including instructions for making a simple tassel as well as the ever popular I-chord knot.

SKILLS USED: Basics, knitting in the round, simple shaping.

MATERIALS NEEDED: 60 yds (78 yds / 110 yds / 134 yds / 150 yds / 162 yds / 190 yds / 220 yds) of worsted weight yarn (yardage amounts include enough for the folded over edge and tassel – if doing a large pom pom, add an additional 20 yds), US #6 (4mm), 16” circular and US #7 (4.5 mm), 16” circular and double points (or size needed to obtain gauge), ring marker.
