“Bluebell, John! I’ve got Bluebell, the case of the vanishing glow-in-the-dark rabbit. NATO’s in an uproar.”
Sherlock Holmes
BBC's "Sherlock", Episode "H.O.U.N.D"

Whether your favourite version of “The Hound of the Baskervilles” is classic Basil Rathbone and Jeremy Brett or the more modern Benedict Cumberbatch, this story remains one of the most popular.

You can knit your Baskervilles with size 1 needles on fingering weight yarn for fine-gauge socks, or you can knit the smaller size on thicker yarn for a quicker knit.

The pawprint pattern can be done either as purls or beads. The beads will give better clarity. I would use size 8/0 beads for fingering weight yarn. Size up your beads according to the weight of yarn. I use sewing thread and a dental flosser to add beads while knitting (rather than pre-stringing). Otherwise, use whatever method you feel most comfortable with.
