This shawl was my therapy project while recovering from surgery. My Spring was lost during this period so I dreamed of sitting on the porch eating strawberries and watching the season emerge. The simple lace pattern mimics the strawberry seeds and stems. Nothing is better on a warm day than eating a bowl of strawberries and whipped cream. It is a perfect shawl for chilly summer evenings on the porch, by the beach, or for those dining areas that are overly chilly.

This is a two-color lace and garter stitch shawl, knit from the neck down beginning with a garter tab. A stitch count grid is included with the pattern to make the process smooth and easy for even a beginning lace knitter.

You will need 2 skeins of fingering weight yarn.
MC = 400 yds minimum, preferably a speckle or variegated
CC = 300 yds minimum, preferably a solid or tonal in a contrasting or complimentary color
