There is a chill in the air and winter is upon us. These fingerless mitts will keep out the chill, but be fashionably autumnal with the elegant lace leaf pattern on the back of he hand. So simple and quick, they can be knit on a Friday night and see you through a weekend of apple picking and a visit to the pumpkin patch.

The pattern can be knit in any worsted weight yarn, This project was knit with leftover yarn from the Falling Leaves Cowl – so do some stash diving and you may find that you have just enough left from a previous project to make a lovely pair of mitts for autumn.

Size: These are knit for a women’s size medium, approximately 8” (20cm) in circumference (stretched). Pattern is easily adaptable to smaller or larger hand size.

The pattern is knit in the round with instructions for DPNs or magic loop. The simple lace pattern is charted and only requires knit, purl, yarn-overs, and knit two-togethers. Great first lace project or for something you can do at knit night or watching the telly.
