Make your own knitted bassoon!

Skills required: Knit and purl stitches; cast-on and cast-off; knitting small diameter pieces in the round; i-cord; increasing (kfb) and decreasing (K2tog).

There is very little seaming, but this pattern involves quite a lot of finishing, namely sewing on the “keys” and embroidering the “rods”. However, there’s no obligation to make it realistic…

Extra supplies needed: toy stuffing, lots of small buttons or sequins, metallic sewing thread, a pipecleaner (chenille stick) for the crook (bocal) and oddments of brown and grey felt.

You will need less than 50g of double knitting yarn in the main yarn - search through your stash for oddments of the other colours.
