Beach Peas Cowl pattern is designed as a part of a set with a matching hat. A carefully selected stitch patterns used in this design makes it perfect for a reversible accessory like this cowl. The main part of the cowl is worked flat, then the ends of a knitted piece are grafted together for a seamless look. Finally, the trims are knitted on in the round from picked up stitches. The different number of picked up stitches at the top and bottom of the cowl creates an A-line shape to hug the neck and chin, while allowing the wider bottom part to stay comfortably on your shoulders. The pattern includes an “Option II” instruction to make a Button Closure Style cowl instead.
