I designed this scarf to use a single skein of Sugar Rush from Queensland Collection, but it can easily be used on other DK or sport weight yarns and can easily be made longer if desired. The resulting scarf is intended to be an accent scarf rather than utilitarian.

The yarn used is rather slippery resulting in a rather loose stitch for such small needles. If you choose a different yarn you may need to increase your needle size.

The beads used in the pattern are Japanese made size 6 seed beads. It is reccomended you only use Japanese made beads. Czech made beads have smmaller holes. The technique used for placing the beads is a two-step process. As a result, this is not a good pattern for someone just learning to knit with beads.
