Beekeeper Beanie is an extension of The Apiarist shawl, so the story is the same. A chilly winter night, great friends, big squishy snuggly shawl, admired by my friend who keeps bees. A special birthday called for a special gift, so The Apiarist was born, and from there, Beekeeper is hot on it’s heels.

Beekeeper is worked from the bottom up, beginning with a simple two by two rib and working towards the top with a rich texture, reminiscent of tiny bees making their way to their lovely honeycomb in their hive. These are all the same stitches used in The Apiarist Shawl, including the seven stitch panel of double moss stitch.
