In December my niece asked me if I would knit two christening capes for my twin great nieces. I said ‘ Of course ‘. I asked her for measurements and duly designed a scallop edged cape using an old favourite stitch pattern. I gave her the capes when they were finished in January. The christening came around today ( 14th April ). However, since January, the little cherubs have GROWN and the capes only just fit!! Luckily they only needed to wear them just for today! When you make your cape, can I suggest that you bear in mind how much the little girl might grow by the time she gets to wear the cape?
The christening was lovely, despite the cold, wet weather.

NB… I’ve just noticed on my pattern I’ve put 450m per ball instead of 226m per ball
