This sweet little bird is a quick knit, and doesn’t use much yarn so is super for a stash- busting project. Worked predominantly in stockinette, Benjy also has knitted bobbles for eyes.

Designed by Amanda Berry @fluffandfuzz, the bluebird is knitted in acrylic DK yarns on single pointed needles (not in the round).

NEEDLES
A pair of 3.75mm single pointed knitting needles (US 5)

RECOMMENDED YARN
Stylecraft Special Double Knit; double knitting/light worsted weight; 100% acrylic; up to 25g in each shade.


NOTIONS
Tapestry needle, toy filling, and beads for eyes.

SIZES
One size only - The bluebird is 5.5cm wide (not including the wings) and 7cm tall (not including the top loop).

TECHNIQUES
For confident beginners and above, other techniques used include casting on and off, knits, purls, increases and decreases, and seaming to finish.
