this is my design for the Sock Knitters Anonymus Sockdown 2013 - literary inspiration. It is inspired both by the Art Deco feel of F Scott Fitzgerald’s short stories and particular by the cover designs of the Penguin hardback edition of his collected works.

As this has not been test knitted, please let me know if there are mistakes or problems with the pattern.

!!! Important !!!

Please note that, in order to perform the K3tog at the end of rounds 39, 45 and 51 you will need to use the very first st of that round. To achieve this, start the round by knitting this st onto your second needle, then start the round with the YO as shown. When you reach the end of the round, this first st will be part of the K3tog.

I have added this to the pattern as well.
