Birch Bark is a beautiful triangle shawl where eyelets gather to play. An entertaining knit from cast on to bind off, this shawl is so addictive you won’t want to put it down.

The modern simplicity of the shawl makes it a true wardrobe staple, and a pattern you’ll want to return to again and again. With different yarn and colour choices, you can create an endless array of shawls that always look new and unique. So don’t be surprised when you find yourself casting on for another one immediately.

YARN
Four skeins of Blacker Yarns Lyonesse 4-ply (50% Corriedale wool, 50% linen; 174 m / 190 yds per 50 g). Shown in colour Aquamarine.

Or approximately 643 m / 703 yds of similar fingering weight yarn.

NEEDLES
Size 4 mm / US 6 needles or size to obtain pattern gauge

This shawl is worked flat, but I recommend using 80-100 cm / 32-40 inch circular needles to accommodate the growing number of stitches.
