This is a reworking of my original Bird of Paradise Pattern also freely available here on Rav which uses laceweight wool following quite a few requests. It uses a smaller needle and is not as long as the original but once blocked it is still long enough to wear as a scarf if you wish.

I really enjoyed making this. It was easier than the original because the wool was a heavier weight but oddly enough I found the blocking more difficult. Blocking really is a must with this design to achieve the beauty of the pattern

Any sockweight/fingering wool should be suitable for making this garment.

I hope you enjoy making it!
