This is for a big cowl that can be worn several different ways and keep you warm with the help of bison down and merino wool. Knit Collage’s Daisy Chain adds some whimsy and interesting texture. Feel free to substitute yarns, change size of the cowl, number of stitches or rows, or knit all the rows instead of purling, if you wish.

Size: One size

Finished measurements: 14.5” deep x 23” wide bind off edge x 25” wide at the cast on edge

Materials and Tools:

  • 1 skein (400 yds/100 grams) Buffalo Wool Company – Tracks (colorway “Raspberry”) Fingering / 4 ply, 90% Merino, 10% Bison
  • 1 skein (60 yds/100 grams) Knit Collage - Daisy Chain (colorway “Hyacinth”) Bulky / 12 ply, 99% Wool, 1% Polyester
  • US 11 (8 mm) circular needle, length 24”
  • Tapestry needle

Gauge: For this cowl, it’s not important as long as it’s big enough for you.

Skills needed: Casting on, knit and purl, joining in the round, carrying unused yarn up rows, binding off.

Please feel free to message me if you run into any issues or have any questions. I look forward to seeing your projects!
