Some people have commented that adding some rows of garter stitch to the cowl would be good to prevent rolling at the edges. That’s wise advice, but I confess I like the way the zig zag eyelet pattern form a slightly scalloped edge. But are scallops worth the rolling? I leave it up to you.

For a garter stitch edge, start with 1 row K, 1 row P, 1 row K, 1 row P. End with 1 row P, 1 row K, 1 row P, 1 row K.
