Named after the tide pools at Botanical Beach. Designed this to feature a beautiful skein of Silk 5/2 from Sweatermaker Yarns, a Christmas present to myself.

This cowl uses an airy double-eyelet pattern that gives it plenty of drape and visual depth, and is edged by 4/4 ribbing. Instructions are written for either a single or double loop size. A good single-skein project to feature something special in your stash. The double loop size also works nicely folded flat and worn with a pin as a neck warmer.

A note about yarn choice: The yarn pictured in my cowl is a very heavy silk, with lots of drape. Finer, woolier yarns will behave differently, and your cowl might curl at the edges. Thank you to stitchnerd for her experiments with different border patterns!
