Bitty Front Range is the free version of the Front Range for kids (Now Available). This little baby cardigan, sizes 0-6 and 6-12 months in dk or light worsted yarn, is worked top down and features a three button closure, garter stitch edging and a broken rib yoke with directions for cap, short and ¾” sleeve lengths. Also included are instructions for making some super cute, and easy, fabric covered buttons.

Pattern notes: On the Rows 7 and 9, some of the P1,K1 rows will NOT end exactly as a pair depending on what round of yoke repeats you are on. Just keep knitting the P1,K1 until the last 5sts, some will end as a P1(these rows between the 1st and 2nd increase rows will end as a P1 and those rows after the 3rd increase also will

For a boy version, knit the buttonholes at the beginning of the buttonhole rows as follows: K2,YO,K2tog, knit to end.

Gauge: 20sts=4” in stockinette on larger needles,
Sizes: 0-6mo(6-12mo)
Approximate finished circumference: 18(19.5)”

Materials:
-dk/light worsted yarn, shown in O-wool Legacy dk 2(3)skeins (130yds per skein) or equivalent yardage of chosen yarn. Add yardage for ¾” or long sleeves. Shown in short sleeves.

-Size 6 circular and double pointed needles, or size to get gauge.
-Size 5 circular and double pointed needles, or one size smaller than gauge.
-stitch marker
-scrap yarn
-blunt needle
-three ¾” buttons, or to make fabric buttons you will need scraps of fabric and ¾” half ball cover buttons (I like the brass ones and buy them at JoAnns)
