PATTERN DETAILS: From its crown, which is textured with post stitches radiating from the center, to its two-toned band, rolled brim and frilled rose embellishment, this chic crochet hat pattern is just full of design details. The rose may be permanently attached to the hat or, with the application of an optional purchased pinback, wear the rose separately as a brooch or use it as an embellishment for your scarves and handbags.

SIZE: One size fits most women and teens.

SKILL LEVEL: EASY +. The pattern is worked in rounds from the top down; all pattern stitches are fully described.

MATERIALS: The featured yarn is Knit Picks® Swish Worsted Weight yarn, a luxurious 100% superwash merino yarn with a crochet gauge of approximately 11-14 sc = 4” (10 cm) when using a size I/9 – K/10-1/2 (5.5mm – 6.5 mm) hooks, and is sold in 50 gram balls of 110 yards (100.5 m). You will need two balls of your main color (black) and one ball of a contrasting color (white).

You will also need:

  • Crochet hooks, sizes H/8 (5 mm) and I/9 (5.5 mm) or size(s) needed to obtain correct gauge.
  • Tapestry needle for finishing and weaving in ends.
  • Safety Pin or purchased Stitch Marker.
