Description: Top-down (begin at cuff) sock pattern, incorporating simple two-row garter-rib stitch pattern. Ribbing starts at end of cuff and continues along top of foot. Heel construction is standard heel flap/short row-turned/gusset, with heel flap stitches knit in “eye of partridge” stitch pattern, making for a durable double-knit thickness for longwearing socks. Pattern is aimed at the knitter with experience knitting socks, and assumes knitter is familiar with grafting using Kitchener stitch. One hank of recommended yarn should be enough to complete one pair.
