This hat is knitted on straight needles and uses my favourite stitch pattern for self- striping yarns. It is my favourite because it is so simple to knit, one of the rows is just purl yet by doing the increases and decreases you create the chevron look and you don’t have to change colours because the yarn does that for you! Perfect relaxing knitting and then at the end of all those soothing stitches you have a hat to keep your head (and therefore your body) at the perfect temperature. If you are a knitter, or know a knitter, you will always have a warm head.

For this pattern I used:
Yarn & Amounts:
One 100g ball of WYS Signature 4 Ply (75% wool, contains 35% British BlueFaced Leicester, and 25% Nylon, 400m/437yds per 100g).

Metres: 140m.

Size: To fit small to average adult head.
