Bluebonnets
Every spring, the hills of Central Texas turn blue, submitting to a thick blanket of wildflowers. This headband has open-work ribbing down the center that mimics the blossoms of a Texas bluebonnet. Slipped stitches and cables create a delicate leafy look below the blossoms as the headband tapers to a point at each end. Quick and simple, this would be a good beginner lace project.
Finished Measurements: 38” long by 4” at its widest point
Skills used: simple lace, cabling, increases and decreases, provisional casting on. Includes both charts and line-by-line instructions.
