“Tied Up and Twisted” is a set of twisty pulse-warmers and a matching hairband. They have yarn overs knit down the center which allow them to be buttoned anywhere along their length. This makes possible lots of twisting and wrapping and allows you to wear the pieces in a variety of ways.

This was knit with an artsy, hand-spun yarn, available through Wooly Hands’ Etsy store.
You could substitute a bulky yarn of more even thickness, but the character of the fabric would be quite different.
