B.M.H.W.B (Be My Hot Water Bottle) is a simple and cuddly hot-water bottle cosy, knit using two strands of sock yarn held together; it’s great for using up those odds and ends. Have fun striping or colour blocking. Hold two different colour yarns together for an interesting marled effect - just cast on and have fun with colour!

Knit from the bottom up in a 2x2 ribbed tube. The BMHWB is designed to fit snugly and will stretch to fit a standard hot-water bottle, measuring approx. 21cm wide x 34cm long. If you would like a looser fit, cast on 8 sts more than the pattern suggests. Instructions are for Magic Loop method, but you can alter this to use double points if you prefer.

If you’re using leftover bits and pieces, it might be helpful to know that the pictured cosy weighed 95g in total.
