Unsure what to do with all your mini-skeins? Why not blend them into each other with this beautiful mitt pattern.

Drawn from the simple patterning on your picnic basket, these fingerless mitts are prefect for keeping your hands warm on a spring day outside - or wrapped around a mug of something warm on a frosty morning!

Worked from cuff toward hand, these mitts begin with twisted rib worked in the round before changing to wicker stitch for the body of the mitten. The colour of these particular mitts is achieved by alternating a gradient pack of mini-skeins from dark to light toward the fingers. A false seam is worked into the body of the mitt, along which stitches are increased for the thumb - worked in rib to allow stretch. The mitt is then finished with twisted rib before bind off.

Yarn
For this colourwork pattern, the 7 mini-skeins are designated A through to G, with A the darkest skein and G the lightest.
