Boot 'Em Socks
by Betsy Ford
This top-down boot sock with a flap heel was a way to use up some stash leftovers.
Since it uses double strands of sock yarns, this is a thick and sturdy sock, appropriate for roomy hiking boots or snow boots. Go see what orphan sock-yarns you have, and get ready for a hike in the woods!
The pattern is written for women’s size medium (fits about shoe size 8-9). If you’re somewhat knowledgeable about re-sizing, it wouldn’t be hard to adjust for teens’ or men’s sizes, using more or fewer stitches and more or fewer rounds in the foot.
