This classic, everyday sweater with an easy fit is highlighted by an evocative stranded colorwork yoke that lends itself to many color combinations.

This garment is knit seamlessly from the top down, featuring a double-folded neckline and a stranded colorwork section around the yoke. The yoke features short rows and a hybrid circular/raglan for an optimal fit. The yoke is worked in the round to the underarms, then the sleeves are put on hold, and the body is worked in the round to the hem. Lastly, the sleeve stitches are returned to the needles and worked in the round to the cuff.

Sizing tip: In general it’s best to go by the recipient’s actual chest measurement instead of the size label. You can also choose a size according to how much ease you’d like the garment to have (comparing finished measurements to a favorite sweater works well.) The garment is designed to be worn with approximately 3.5 inches or 9 cm ease at the chest.
