Perfect for fall, these little fair isle mitts call for small amounts of fingering weight yarn in one main shade and 6 contrast colours. The pattern is suitable for knitters who are comfortable knitting stranded colourwork in the round and reading charts.

The mitts are knit in the round from bottom cuff upwards, using the stranded technique with only two colours in any one round.
They have thumb gussets, and the pattern includes charts for left and right hands.

One size to fit hand circumference 7 - 7.5” (18 - 19cm).

The pattern includes two colourways:
1) Original colourway in J C Rennie Supersoft Lambswool 4ply in shades of browns, aqua blue, cream, purple and orange, with a little bit of Rowan Fine Tweed 4ply wool in a toning shade of rust brown.

2) Gathered Sheep Yarns 100% Shetland wool 4ply, hand-dyed in shades of dark purple, grey, olive green, walnut brown, oatmeal, bright blue and red.
